Built for the hill
Wilcox Motorsports is a small, focused hillclimb effort with a long history in New England paved competition — and an equally long history of helping run the events themselves.
Our story
The program started the way most hillclimb efforts do: one car, a trailer, and a calendar of mountain roads that reward preparation over budget. Over the years it has grown into a consistent presence across the New England Hillclimb Association season, with entries in multiple classes and a crew that shows up as much for the paddock as for the podium.
Hillclimb is a sport that only exists because people volunteer to make it exist — landowners, permitting officials, timing crews, corner workers. Wilcox Motorsports has always operated on both sides of that equation, competing on Saturday and helping run the event the rest of the weekend.
The cars
The current stable is built around purpose-prepared, class-legal machinery maintained in-house between events. Setup work focuses on the things that actually matter on a narrow mountain road: brakes, cooling, damping, and driver confidence over blind crests.
The crew
A rotating group of longtime friends, mechanics, and volunteer officials. Several also work events across the calendar as timing operators, tech inspectors, and safety personnel.
Where we run
The New England calendar
Paved climbs across Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine — mountain park roads, resort access roads, and historic auto roads, most of them measured in miles rather than corners.
